I have been on the receiving end of this phenom of out of state investing.. and the carnage it creates when folks get talked into investing and really have no clue of what they are doing other than the webinar they watched and the influence you get on BP from all the TK guys and marketing agents that make money selling to these folks and we all know sales is sales.. you insinuate the positive and play down the negative

As to your insinuations that because it is happening in Africa it influences my position, nothing could be further from the truth.

The finer details of each asset will influence the price.  

The builder may or may not have had problems but neighbors may have raised heck or collectively made an offer purchasing an interest in specific lots to "protect" the homeowner's property values.A trick of builder developers is to build nicer homes first, then infill latter with cheaper homes allowing the nicer home to influence price, they also add commercial later on as either depresses value of the nicer home built first.

We're slowing selling off and focusing on one area where I can also start to influence lease rates, and property sales.

I think what they were getting at is that some Realtors have more influence and preference as to getting bids accepted.
