Good evening , I am new to investing and my goal is to take control of my own finances and improve my financial health.

I know a few that play the stock market or split a clinic but no real estate investors yet.

My husband will be working for his Portland firm remotely (many of his clients are in the Boise area) and I am planning on taking a step back from clinical social work and attaining my real estate licence.After doing a lot of research on BP, I thought it would be a great idea to buy a multifamily property and house hack.

Documenting and pushing concerns raised over health and safety issues is also a classic leverage-move played by scam artist tenants.I'm not saying the tenant's concern is unfounded, but tenants asking for over-the-top precautions is going to add substantially to your costs and timeline.    

If the property has any health or safety hazards, VA will require that you fix them before moving in. 

A major roadblock to this, however, seems to be health insurance. 

His wife and him are not in great health.

Property is two units, listed at $155k but the real estate agent made the mistake of telling us there's a health issue for the buyer, they are older and looking to dump their rentals.

The dad is the one with poor health, thus them selling their properties. 

Meyers ( lehigh Acres) on brand new or near new constructed homes ( minus Chinese drywall) for 25 to 40k each.. these homes 5 years before were selling for 250k.. in my mind in that time in space.. that was probably one of the cheapest places in the first world to live.. brand new our near new home for 30k  US health fire and police..
