Around here in 2008-9, anyone wanting to sell or rent high-end was ravaged much worse than those closer to the median.Given the proximity to the continuously expanding Federal feed trough, NOVA should be safer than other areas.

The choice seems obvious to me.You've quoted this a few times, and it may apply to 1 bedrooms, but from my quick look at 20 or so properties in NoVA, the rent and mortgage payment works out to be very, very similar.
