I just read the original thread---juicy...I can't answer the where, but I'm going to take a stab at what to look for (which is at the core of the question---you have to know the "what" before you can find the "where"): - Follow the employers---seek areas where employment is both vibrant and growing (job growth leads to migration patterns---people have a tendency to follow the money)- Seek a community with current or future infrastructure expansion intentions.

There might be other liens on the property (senior to the lien core to the foreclosure).You need to research the situation to find the present owner.

I would rather take less risk and for a smaller reward than purchase the home myself and take on the additional risks.Generally, 75-100+ homes are looked at before there is 1 that has the equity spread mentioned above.The most successful business know what they are good at and they focus on their core strategies.
