Gotta remember, REI and leases are a two way street- people here like to find ways to stick it to their tenants as much as possibly (I don't know you or this situation, so I am not saying that is the case), but as landlords, it's our responsibiility to provide safe and reasonable accommodations to our tenants as well.

If you don't move then you can be prosecuted for mortgage fraud and could get accommodations at the nearest fed pen for up to 30 years and you have to pay for it also with a fine of up to $1,000,000.00.

You might see something where they'll take duplexes that are larger or smaller that have sold recently in a mile +/- radius from the subject property or even triplexes that are closer to size and make adjustments to them to accommodate, but my bet is that is a last resort measure.

(effectively $215k financed at 3.27%)$450k -- $0 down and the balance paid as 360 monthly payments of $1250  (effectively $250k financed at 4.39%)Now, I know I'm hoping for a unicorn here, but my question is more around whether or not this is the type of adjustments you would make to your deal to accommodate a seller's wants or needs.Anyways, thanks for reading and offering your feedback!

I recommend advising the tenant that a one-year lease term is required but that you will work with them on an early release to accommodate their concerns.
