And you can definitely pay off your home faster if you focus on running all of your expenses through it and watch your expenses. 

I landed off of Highway 64 between Cashiers and Highlands - so good proximity to both without a daunting drive to get to a great view. 

If it has any basis at all (such as you left the apartment during your lease term for what you felt was a justifiable reason and stopped paying rent, but the landlord disagreed) then you may be better off paying a rather small settlement.

Off the cuff, $250 a push seems quite high and I'd look to find someone else if I were you.

They are all on separate parcels, paid off and occupied by long term tenants.

Sure rent has increased, but the number will put you massively underwater right off the bat.
