Much more than $500 (including filing fees) and they're taking you for a ride, much less than $500 and you get what you pay for.

Potentially seeing if you can get a couple in a row to do something architecturally interesting with, or just riding it out until the area starts to grow a bit and then finally fixing them up to rent or sell ?

I would just let them ride out their notice, and let them leave.I guess I don't understand why you would be deflated about this situation if the apartment can't be used for a future tenant anyway.

I downloaded some BP podcasts and listened to them on the car ride while the kids slept.

Then ride pass each address and see if they are occupied.

The closest hospital is The Johns Hopkins Hospital, which is 5 min ride away.

I am just looking to get my feet wet in the real estate business, I am not looking for a free ride.
