I know city of Las Vegas requires host occupancy but areas close by to consider to bypass some of the city restrictions?  

I am thinking about booking.com but it will change how Airbnb pays the fee - from guest to host - so I am not too surw if its worth it. 

My main concern are shared spaces like the pool and hot tub (turnoff for some renters), huge parties (when both are rented together), shared internet, logistics (multiple locks, parking, etc)Thanks for any insight!

No matter how well the home is designed and priced, vacationers will click away as soon as they feel like a host is inflating costs. 

Are there any meetups or events being hosted in the area or websites to help investors network through scheduled events?

While we are prepared to host by the room, what we are seeing is that most residents are just taking the whole space. 

There's no set amount and no stranger on the internet can tell you what should work for you. 

I'm assuming you're considering hosting travel nurses or maybe corporate housing that exceeds 30 days and intend to leave it fully furnished & charge nightly rates similar to STR?

Now add internet and connectivity because as much as one can live without it perception is that one can-not, and there is societal truths to that. 

People struggle with it - both guests and hosts - but if you have the right property at the right price in a high demand location and you understand how to us it it can be a great option.
