My background is in ecological design, which you can find out more about in my profile, but in short it means I design and help create abundant edible landscapes that not only grow healthy food, but also enhance the ecology by purifying water, providing habitat for wildlife, and actually sequestering Carbon dioxide from the atmosphere in soil and plants.I have much gratitude to the creators of this space for creating something that is truly inspiring and brings people together.

Ya know I was raised there In Cupertino and Palo Alto.. the land of 50 to 60 years ranch houses on little 5 to 7k sq ft lots selling for 2 to 4 million in todays. market.but back in 1979 is when homes got to 100k in Cupertino we all thought ( I was a 23 YO broker at that time) there is NO way they could go higher.. and when I bought my second home in my life in Palo Alto for 185k in 1984  a 3 and 1 900 sq ft home.. but nice landscaping lot was 50X 100  and then sold It in 91 for just under 500k..

The interior and landscaping are dated and could be updated to increase the home's value to the neighborhood median (close to $600k).Here are my ideas:1) move him into an apartment/condo2) buy the house as a purchase option3) renovate the home4) Sell the home5) buy a multifamily property in partnership with the father in law with the all the equity generated from selling his house.

Partnership;  My business partner owns the largest landscaping outfit in my area and because of that he has a number of connections that are beneficial to our cause as well as heavy equipment and wholesale cost on landscaping if/when needed.
