Got a furnace maintenance guy scheduled to ensure the furnace/thermostat are working correctly.To me, low 60s is manageable; low 50s and sleeping in a jacket is moving toward uninhabitable and definitely embarrassing as an owner.Tips?

I'm attempting to start this thread not to embarrass anyone for the mistakes you've made, but to hopefully help teach and guide others away from making the same mistakes. 

If there was a lot of unbilled time, I will occasionally increase their annual bill for tax prep, particularly if the amount of support they require throughout the year seems to be a trend.But I try not to nickel and dime for tax work, although I do send out rather small bills on a monthly basis for bookkeeping work, I'm sometimes embarrassed.

I'm going to add a French Press - embarrassing to note I had no idea what one was, and keep my drop coffee maker. 

I am embarrassed about how late I am replying to your message!

We called them every day and faxed them whatever they wanted, and it was so embarrassing when we couldn't pay our vendors the big check that we promised on that date.

Money is money and don't be embarrassed about the size of the check, especially on your first deal.
