We do have another property (in the SF Bay Area), but my wife would not be keen on selling that one, so I'm unlikely to do much with it right now.

If a deal is found, you'll be able to wholesale it, but, with dropping prices, people aren't keen on locking up a contract unless it is a great deal.With no properties being able to cash flow for an investor (in vancouver), no one is looking to be stuck holding the bag.Jason

I also have a keen eye for finding extra units, bedrooms/bathrooms, or a higher and better use for a property.

Lawyers quite simply aren't keen on suing empty pockets and the more obstacles you place, the more empty your pockets look. 

Personally I'm not too keen on flipping but that's just me.

I would eventually like to land on the developer side, building ground up, but am keenly aware that I might have to start a little slower.

Networking is really your best bet in my opinion, as most real estate agents are not too keen on working with new investors, nor are most realtors particularly experienced in sourcing properties for investors.Personally I would read a book on bookkeeping and just use that at this point.

I'm looking at 70 with no flipping experience, and I'm not keen on starting now. 

Architect assures me this issue with the other partner and city doesn't impact the soundness of my engineering plans.Still I'm not keen to work with this firm again.
