Meetups are announced and posted here on BP in the meetups sub-forum, and on our dedicated Facebook meetup page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/MetroDetroitRealEs...I also send out an email notification once the date and place is set since people don't always see the meetup announcement on FB and BP.

@Bryan Vincent you seem to be very motivated and dedicated but your brain is currently engineering a real estate license with a mentor who is always absent and you are doing all this with no money, pardon my directness. 

This site and community are worth their weights in gold.Since joining BP I can attest to the fact that my REI knowledge and skills have increased tremendously, coupled with the fact that I am being interactive with like minded individuals who are focused and excited about the success of others.BP and its community are here to stay and will continue to be a model for others to emulate.It clearly shows that persistence, hard work and dedication can certainly bear fruit in the building and expansion of a purpose driven platform without spam and other distractions.320,000 members and counting are a testament to the demand for an active and serious community driven REI site.Great job @Joshua Dorkin, @Brandon Turner, as well as the rest of the supporting team and of course the BP community!

Using an LLC may be a better starting point, and move to an S corp later when the tax situation dictates.If you want other investors involved (foreign or domestic), create a separate dedicated entity for that activity.You need to keep those additional requirements in mind when deciding what is right for you.I use John Hyre in Columbus.

@Joe Villeneuve does most of the instructions, and is truly dedicated to growing the knowledge base of everyone involved.  

We're both dedicated and hardworking and have the skills to make repairs so a fixer upper is not out of the realm of possibilities. 

Plus your investments are fully paid off, as noted above, that doesn't fit with REI, which is about leverage.You might be a Med student who is just starting their Internship, and wants to dedicate themselves to their career.   

My question is how would you word it so that your employer doesn't catch wind of it and question how dedicated of employee you actually are. 

Over the past 6 months I’ve dedicated a large portion of my free time to educating myself as much as possible on real estate investing.

When they tell you management will cost 10% plus first month's rent for all new leases, explain that you could hire your own dedicated PM for $50,000.
