I have a team of contractors, electricians, and plumbers ready to jump on any project needed. 

My electrician is separating the boxes for two units, but we learned we may need a third meter to run the common areas. is there anyone who has experience with this? 

I need a plumber, electrician, flooring, and cabinetry contractors.

(I also have a ton of electrician friends and a few plumbers and construction guys if I need to exploit them!)

Although if you can get an electrician to come out to the property they can ohm out the heatimg conductor and verify there are not breaks in the system. 

I would just call a couple of local electricians and ask them what your options are to legally fix it.

An electrician told me that it was not worth it to set up a separate meter (cost would be upwards of $3,000) for electric use that would amount to less than $15/mo.
