My personal opinion is that you really analyze your personal situation and make the investment that best suits your needs and capabilities.  

They should be able to guide you on the best plan suited for your financial and legal situation.My recommendation would be to NOT put each property in a separate LLC.

If you could add a secondary suite in the basement it could work but as is unless you have high risk tolerance for negative cash flow I would pass.

Whether working as an agent or not, there is nothing preventing anyone for bringing suit making allegations.

I file a civil suit which took 8 months just to have a court date and of course I won BUT now I find out that his company LLC had dissolve 3 years ago so since the checks were written to his company name, I can't sue him personally.

In 6 years $40k of my student loans will be relieved with the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program (since the university is considered public sector) and during that time I can take advantage of a university-paid master's program (once I figure out which one will best suit my goals).
