What are other recurring monthly operating expenses are there? 

They also said I can setup recurring payments.

They are all listed on the Meetup app and most have weekly or monthly recurring meetings.

I am fairly new, but one thing that has helped me so far is typing in my city of choice and finding people who are recurring names and trying to connect with them. 

Any recurring expenses (utilities, cell phone, storage unit, etc) can also count towards your alternate credit.

If it has been recurring for the past 20 years, could it be structural in nature?

Has had recurring sewage issues with Mexico that have never been closer to being resolved (but still has a ways to go).  

Self-manager that cares about their people: "..... decide to grant mercy or punish bad behavior if recurring ...I don't run around mailing and posting anything for the most part. 

It seems that the recurring theme is do your due diligence as best you can, but know that things can still go south.
