Sq ft X 3 volts= Volt Amps you will then add any of the following1500 per small counter appliance outlet1500 for laudry750 for Dishwasher12000 for Range5000 for Dryer1500 for Microwave1500 for forced air Sub Total AC is whatever it reads @ 100% 1st 10000 @ 100% next @ 40% + AC if you have itTotal Volt Amp/240= Required ServiceHere is an exampleFor a 2000sqft home with a mix of gas/electric appliances2000x3 volt = 6000 volt amp+ 3000 (2 counter Out) + 1500 (Laundry) + 750 (dishwasher) + 1500 (microwave) + 1500 (microwave)= 8250 Volts8250 + 6000= 14250 First 10000 @ 100% next @ 40% = 1700 add them together 14250 + 10000+ 1700 = 25950 Volts25950/240= 108.125 so a 100 amp service would be too small you could put a 125/150 amp service in in case you add appliances or the such If this is too confusing usally you can say if it is 1500 and under with a mix of gas/electric then 100 amp is fine anything over you should do the calculations because the difference between 100-200 amp panels and service is about 2 times the cost in materials.hope this helps and isnt to long

I found out that the upper cabinet was ready to fall off, the microwave handle was melted and broke off, there was an ant infestation and a rodent infestation, the backdoor has been broken down once which was simply glued back together and used again, the bathroom was moldy and grout falling out which created more mold, and I didn’t find this last one out until after I left but every single fire detector was broken, which is serious because being a firefighter too many people have died from such a useful device that is required by law.
