I would contact landlords of places you'd be interested in renting to see if you might qualify (explain your credit and emphasize your other positive qualities), and maybe post a wanted ad on Craigslist and look to see if Facebook has a rentals page in your area where you can find out from others which landlords work with poor credit.Good luck!
