@Justin Sullivan Two reasons for 10% Retainage on draws, which is standard in the commercial industry.1) it is primarily an incentive for the contractor finish, and not “be ahead” of the owner on money.2) A lien waiver from the gc does Not prevent his subs and suppliers from filing liens when They are not paid by the gc.
