I just moved to Lane County and live on the border of Eugene, Oregon.  

I have a great realtor who grew up in Newark,DE and knows all of the sub markers well but go 15 miles north across the PA border to Kennett Square PA and he is lost.  

My primary residence is on the border of Union City and JC Heights and I can definately see the "Brooklyn" type of transition taking place.

Additionally, the wood border in the kitchen was also removed from the original position and the nails on the wood may potentially hurt my two young kids.

The streets numbers run south to north in Union City: so 1st St is the southern border of UC and Jersey City, 49th St is the northern border with UC and West New York.If you care about proximity to NYC, I'd recommend nearer to 30th St.

I have no idea why they are moving to the suburbs as Park Ridge is not really that far from the city and it borders the city of Chicago.
