Our main goal is to save as much money as possible and leverage as wisely as possible to acquire enough properties, as soon as possible, to supplement my wife's income with cash flow so that she can stay at home with the kids.                                                                                                               

I am a slave to it, hence my design to begin supplementing with income from REI.I am fortunate to have $$ to invest, now I just have to invest wisely...

I met my income needs by supplementing with my E-Commerce business as well.

Considering we have no children, are still throwing away renting like fools, and are looking for some way to supplement and eventually replace my active income, I am convinced REI is the way to go. :)Thanks in advance for the welcome advice @Paul Timmins.

That means you have other issues, insulation, windows etc etc.As others have suggested, get a couple window units to supplement for hotter days.

It helps to have traveled the country a great deal as I have to have a basic feel for different submarkets, but Google street view can tell me a lot.I won't plug my site because I don't think BP will let me, but I will tell you that there are a lot of tools, many that you have already mentioned, that can supplement or speed up the processing time for viewing the massive amount of investment opportunities that are out there.

Maybe they have substantial savings from an inheritance or settlement and they draw from that to supplement their monthly income? 

My dream is to supplement my current W-2 income with passive real estate income within the next 10 years.
