I as well am looking at multi family properties for a buy and hold portfolio.  

I am thinking of putting an offer in on a multi-plex in Iowa.  

Hello, just curious on what others living in Iowa Linn county specifically, have experienced with partial rent payments and ability to evict. 

However, this obviously means that I as a lender am not going to spearhead this change, as the status quo benefits my clients, and the only time it hurts your seller clients is if you do NOT take my offer, which is 100% OK with me... so "take my clients' offer or suffer the consequences!" 

No, its simply that the property is theirs and the money is theirs, so the decision becomes: Do I as a property manager and advocate of my client want to be a part of this.Its like on the sales side - I've fought to the death to get huge inspection concessions accepted representing buyers, and sometimes, even when the seller concedes 100%, my buyer has backed out because "its just not the one anymore after all of this".

I'm currently a full-time mortgage loan officer at a local bank here in Ames, Iowa.

Or am I a little nuts? 

My real plans are to make my self completely independent from "the man" as soon as possible.
