@Milton Monzon: Hi, I was going to move forward with them and figured I would pay the loan back in full as soon as home prices drop (2-3 years from now) but my current lender has a clause on the note that gives them the right to approve/deny additional liens on the property and they've denied my request.

If there is a claim and it comes out that it does it meet their underwriting guidelines they may be able to deny coverage.even if they would cover a 3 family, the building coverage will be for a single family (1 kitchen, one furnace, one hot water heater, etc).
