In the DC and Baltimore region we have several but I sincerely hope that one day there is a substantial increase in minority land lording.

When I informed my land lord that we were trying to sort out other living arrangements they said that we still have to pay the full amount or go to court. 

I'm looking to move back home to the Dallas, TX area and start buying and holding real estate for land lording.

You will learn a lot about being a land lord by having a roommate and you can build your network with the re-hab.

Just keep in mind that these structures are more complex and therefore more expensive, so you will be trading $800 tax for a higher cost of setting it all up and possibly some annual compliance costs on top of it.Maybe accept your $800 sacrifice to the Evil Lords of the West Coast as the cost of doing business and focus on increasing your cash flow.

I also have been coming up with ideas of systems to put in place to assist me in my land lording business.Soooo... my questions are 1.Does this seem like a solid and achievable plan for a newbie with not a lot of capital?
