Insurance would cover it, I would pay the deductible, and no assets would be lost.If you are in an area like San Diego where people are more likely to sue, a judge is more likely to find you guilty, and the payout is expected to be higher, you may consider an umbrella insurance policy.

Others are Mr Howell and his deck chair with the drink with the umbrella in it in the shade . 

We do have an umbrella policy in place for all of our properties but want additional protection.

Having a SOLID umbrella insurance policy is really what is necessary.

Have 4 SHF, 2 Boats, Several cars and an Umbrella and they cancelled one of my properties due to age.

I know often times people on this forum say they are unnecessary and don't always protect against liability and just get a good umbrella policy.  

Its so much deeper than creative finance, its everything you can think of under the umbrella of real estate. 

You can also look at umbrella coverage that further strengthens the protections you have personally and professionally.
