Hi @Shane Gorski,You're absolutely correct regarding the difficulties of STR's in Naples, there certainly are a few other local cities that are much more conducive to that strategy, Bonita Springs, Cape Coral, and Fort Myers Beach being a few of the major ones.

You likely will max out before 10 though as the average person with average income will have difficulty qualifying after a few loans because of things like the DTI (debt to income ratios).

They aren't looking for 10% returns and they probably love the idea of getting some cash legally out of Canada.I got into Costa Rica because of the country (it's awesome), what's happening to real estate prices there and in the US (they are nuts here) and the amount of development that's happening around Potrero, the technology advancements in the STR industry, proximity to the beach etc.

And for example there was a Crowd Street deal (Nightingle) where the sponsor omitted losses from their claimed track record (and ultimately was fraud...they never even bought the claimed property).And there appeared to be some difficulty or confusion with obtaining the full and complete track record ( including both realized and unrealized deals).

A more accurate way to describe it is "I received no income" - because you can have deals but still have no profit if your expenses are greater than your income.If you were actively looking for deals (and can document it) - as opposed to merely planning to start later - then you file Schedule C and claim business expanses such as marketing, driving, technology and so on.
