Someone can be naive about it and believe the narrative pushed by crooked legislators, I just say the drive itself is fueled and driver by those in the know, and those "in the know" are the ones that are least of all concerned about some poor guy forced to sell his property for less than 70% of its market value.

Think uber/lyft driver contractor structure.But the call center staff who handle the important stuff like leasing, arranging repairs, etc. work overseas and likely do not have intimate knowledge of your rental area.That said, I’m not bashing this model.
