It was a very long drive. 18 hours in total on the open road, I would sleep in my car along the way and live off of gas station food.

I'm going back to sleep in the burn scar.

Ultimately you should go with whatever helps you sleep at night, but......

The first time I was laid off it was traumatic because I my industry and the economy were in the toilet but more importantly, I didn't have enough cash flowing RE, second time.... not nearly as bad, and the third time it was my idea and I haven't lost a minute of sleep about my decision. 

We haven't had anything like that happen but it sure is disturbing.

Two weeks later, 5 bottles of Pepto 8 nights of no sleep.

I have no idea how it will play out, but I feel reasonably confident that I can keep enough wealth to keep me and mine going until I'm dead and as Kenny Rogers said "the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep". 

But good from a sleep standpoint.
