I own a medical office in Manhattan but have retired.

I went to the PF Community Development Office to fill out the necessary business license and asked about the STR Permit PF requires.

Our PF cabin has slow March and April bookings.

I really enjoyed the ones in Pasadena and Manhattan Beach/South Bay.

Right now, it's hard to beat Manhattan Beach and Rocky Mtns as the second homes but times change and maybe we'd be open to the Oregon Coast. 

But with 09-11, when the twin towers came trembling down, people were looking all over for commercial spaces and my dad rented a store to a wholesale travel agency, located in midtown Manhattan, that got displaced when downtown Manhattan tenants all started looking for space.With malls emptying out, I don't know how soon it will impact neighborhood stores.

When I graduate, I will be moving to Manhattan, NYC where I am hopefully working.

PS I remember one time when I was giving a presentation in Manhattan Beach CA at a FIBI event.. there was about 80 investors in the room I asked for a show of hands how many were PMLs and I would say half the room raised their hands  :) thats were private money is found.
