Contractors are in high demand right now and some trades like framers are in short supply. 

Can anybody recommend a Painter, Plumber, Framer and Electrician?

General contractors, plumbers, electricians, demolition, zoning lawyers, agents, wholesalers, drywall/framers, private lenders, new development, title companies, HVAC, masonry, property management, flooring.

yikes...i feel for the agents who earned those commissions...a homebuilder filed bankruptcy in charlotte a few months back..the negotiated settlement is that they're paying off their debts at 10 cents on the dollar...they owed some small business and contractors hundreds of thousands of dollars...i know of a framer who was owed 50k...they're still in business, but paying cash on delivery now...as for the contractors and small businesses, they're screwed

The building commissioner explained that the framer had not built according to code and some details would have to be corrected.

I'm not a roofing guy or framer, but false rafters are common where the rafter extends beyound the load bearing wall.

the guys at lowes will deliver anything for me when im in a pinch...other than that, i pick it up, or have my guys deliver it...i should mention that my main group of contractors does most of my work similiar to j...they used to be carpenters/framers...due to the economy they've learned to do just about everythign else..i let them install hardwood floors, paint, install and finish drywall, tilework, framing, carpentry, siding, roofign, windows, etc.

My son who is a framer by trade actually did the installation.
