@William Coet, as noted, it sort of depends on where you are looking to protect liability.The most common reason I hear when working with investors who invest in a syndication through their LLC is honestly for ease of bookkeeping and record keeping.  

There’s potential liability if something goes wrong or even tension between you and the seller.

A good amount of municipalities tax under either RITA or CCA to ease the burden on the taxpayer, but with many you have to file separately.

If you flip again make sure a legit company does it to help ease future buyers

That’s the kind of personal touch you don’t always get with online banks, especially when the going gets tough.On the other hand, online banks are crushing it when it comes to tech and ease of use.
