Like others have mentioned, there’s appreciation, depreciation, leverage, and tax benefits that produce a compelling risk adjusted return. 

What you need to do is show what compelling argument makes taking this chance on you make sense. 

And, the best you have given is that you want $4k because they didn't communicate to you in a timely manner?

He is securing expensive debt, not debt through a bank, isn't putting any capital into the deal and structuring the equity investment in a highly risky manner without any upside offered to the investor.

We are trying to bring money into Portugal in the most tax efficient and legal manner possible. 

My only goal is to have all the details clearly spelled out so we can adjust price and deadlines in a fair manner as things come up.

It's a really sexy application on webinar, but even for the "Get It Now" price may not be worth it if you can't shut it off in a timely manner.  

I've head from others who went this route and had to pay before delivery which caused strain on capital because they couldn't complete draws in the same manner as stick built construction. 

They do an extremely good job at communicating in a professional and respectful manner, but not so much anything else.
