They're like children that provoke for attention.

As per my original post, I think the parents are generally well meaning and just want to help their children.

They have helped over 100 people in the past 12 years restore their lives, and reclaim children from foster care, rebuild families, and return to the job market. 

However, within that portfolio are some problem children.

Between a demanding FT job (that I enjoy,) a wife who also works FT, and two young children, I have no real desire to "all in" to real estate as a FT career at this point in my life.

So, now a tenant with SIX children in the home is arrested and charged with 3 counts for rape of a child. 

What Im looking for with REI.... is to find financial freedom, to build generational wealth, to bring my family together; my brothers,  my children, and their children into a business Im not only passionate about, but proud of.  

By self-managing I know which of my properties are problem children and which are my star performers.

The neighbors and children might not be safe with him around, it would not be worth the risk to me.

I can see through DOM the contrast between those struggles and the lease ups of the better located single families in the area.I cant say with certainty this applies across the entire city but what’s known is the fact people are getting married and starting families later in life than in the past, young people have more debt than ever before thanks to student loans, the cost of buying ahome has never been higher & most  families decide to move to the suburbs when they have school aged children.
