You need to take a longer-term view of how it's likely to perform in the future.

You aren't in the area to view other homes and see what's happening in the market.

Part of the motivation for congress writing Dodd Frank was to clamp down on the investors offering preditory terms re  rent to own and seller financing and that view has carried into craigslist rent to own adds and you say zillow. 

It could even be (more) interesting from a lifestyle point of view as you'll get to stay in different cities/houses every time you go.

I am not a huge fan of them personally as they are PE investors and have a very, very narrow view of the industry and how it should be approached. 

Kudos to all members who got into the fray and really tried to bolster their point of view publicly. 

In my mind the partner who contributes and shares across the board will have a greater alignment of interests but curious how others have approached similar scenarios and views on the subject.

It's all the about the location and the view.

I landed off of Highway 64 between Cashiers and Highlands - so good proximity to both without a daunting drive to get to a great view. 

These people have a them vs us view of the world very similar to the cult believers.
