I keep hearing good things about Columbia and I know some folks from my area who are investing there in Medellin and they have nothing but positive things to say (Now that FARC is pretty much done it's a lot safer and since they had the civil war going on for so long until just recently there is a lot of new opportunity there).

@Juan Maldonado I lived in Bogota for some time but I prefer Medellin to live.I've been keeping an eye on a handful of properties for sale in Medellin (various areas, none of them special by any means; I just wanted to track them and get context on how the market moves) and here's what I noticed:1) Not one of the 12 properties on my list sold over the 10 months I have been tracking them2) The prices seem negotiable 3) The prices in COP terms have stayed the same over the last year.

Ya know its funny you say that because I have a trip planned to go to Cartegena Colombia, and visit Bogota, Medellin, and coastal communities on Jan 29th though may have to push it back a month.
