Short Term Rentals near Disneyland are now banned by the city of Anaheim. 

This one is bad folks, just ask the people who work on Broadway in NYC or in the Hollywood studios in LA or in Disney Land in Orlando, they are not misusing they benefits.

I could see Saugerties becoming more like Rhinebeck in the future (a place for people with money to retire after living in the city), but that would be the gamble...who knows how long that will take, if it ever happens (and I'm not saying I'd necessarily WANT that to happen to the Saugerties community - it's great right now in part because it hasn't become a "village disneyland").One thing I'm noticing is that a lot of places currently on the market in Saugerties were bought in the early or mid 2000's, before the crash, at pretty inflated prices.

For example, near me in Anaheim, Disneyland pretty much owns the city, and they don't much like competition for their hotels.

Located not too far from Los Angeles and Anaheim, guests can easily reach Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Angel Stadium and Downtown Los Angeles.

But, if you flew to LA, looked at 2 buildings the first morning then spent a week at Disney Land you aren't able to write it off.
