There will be overnight contractors materialize, out of town labor, scams and other shenanigans that some of these poor homeowners will discover within months that quality was not prioritized in the remediation of their homes.

You could also ask the bookkeeper which CPA does he/she collaborate with and then verify the competence level with with the CPA.If you are concerned about the safety of your financial documents, most cloud based accountants use software (Quickbooks, file sharing services, etc) with bank-level encryption.

Especially if you know QB- you could utilize QBO and it would be super easy to collaborate with your CPA on tax matters while you handled the bookkeeping area.
