Imagine getting a 2% - 5% interest rate today and how much cash you would be saving every month on your mortgage payment and the increased debt paydown! 

Not sure how much they'd tax you, but I imagine NB Capital Gain is at 50%. 

I can't imagine painting a house for $500... even in Ga, where the cost of living is considerably lower than in Ca.

I imagine it would probably be a royal PITA to drag everything you might need up there!

And even if so, I'd imagine there would be LOTS of restrictions and red tape as to what you'd be allowed to build and its appearance - No?
