Sit down with paper and pen.

Lets face it, some 10 or even 20 numbers you could just write it down on a piece of paper or an old fashioned addressbook...You mentioned:  "I'm assuming PM collect the payments, manages the lease, track tenant activities etc." 

Does that mean the $2362.42 paper check is on its way and I don't need to take action? 

In this morning's paper, a private contractor offered to donate 20 acres to Maui County for a landfill for a percentage of tipping fees.

I guess I need to see this on paper so that I can visualize a clear goal and work towards it.

REPLY: You don't :)As Jeff said you can find general info about a property but you will not find any info in the county records that says this home has equity - that would be nice though :)Equity is a funny thing and many on here may have an opinion but Equity on paper is the difference between what it is "worth" (lots of definitions of that) and what you paid (or owe).

It may pencil on paper, but you'll likely be underwater net of all costs of truly owning a physical asset.

Your cleaning person should also let you know if you are short or need supplies (i.e. toilet paper, soap,etc) or if anything is broken or missing.I would create a checklist for the cleaning person of what they need  to clean every day, what needs cleaning once a week, and what needs cleaning once a month.
