The deadline in Tarrant County changed from 5/31 to 5/15 this current year.In north Texas our taxes can range from 2.2% all the way up to 3% depending on all the taxing districts you are in (i.e. school district, medical district, community college district, city/county, etc.)If I end up holding the unit purely as a rental investment.

I do not think I mentioned to you but I am currently bedridden due to some medical problems, which means I am pretty available all day long. 

The major problem I had to contend with back then was my Medical Insurance and co-pays which I cannot list on my schedule E.

Once the house is sold, the seller will have to spend the proceeds on their medical care and other normal expenses.

Life is funny sometimes.Unfortunately my mother died in 2007 of her medical issues.

Also, it's been my experience that a tenant that pays late that much is living paycheck to paycheck and is just one unexpected bill (i.e. car repair, medical bill, etc) away from not paying rent at all.

It depends on campus... for a big campus, you can be 5 minutes from the Engineering building and 20 minutes from the Medical Campus......that’s my case and I have renters anywhere from a 5 min to 20 min walk from different parts of campus they may need to get to.

First of all I have not estimated and received an investment yet mainly because when I had that medical accident and I am still bedridden from some medical problems I have had them at age 54 but I'm 61 now but I am  still thinking that I will recover someday.
