I asked because I heard some states make sure all other liens cleared except the one that foreclosed the property is the only one active.  

As a travel nurse, I know just how crappy some travel nurses can be, but that is for sure the exception and not the rule.

In some cases, there are no close living relatives or heirs and it can require some deep digging, but those are more the exception than the rule.    

@Jeff Shu  I agree that it is a small investment except of course if it is their cat in which case I expect them to solve the problem.
