I doubt there’s one day out of the whole year that we do not do something either my wife or myself that is not real estate/business related.We have worked with some agents ects that go off the radar completely on the weekends or possibly take a two week vacation and will not communicate during those times.

If you open up the schedule and another guest books, then I agree with @Chris Seveney that a credit (assuming the new booking is at a discounted nightly rate) would be more than generous and also lets her know that you are a reasonable host if she does decide to book again in the future.It just feels odd that she would be contacting you the day of check-in to cancel due to the weather, when she could have communicated this days ago.

I'm so use to being involved in the day-to-day business of the property management side of things so I'm struggling to understand how much the new property manager should be communicating with me and how often.As an example, I had a tenant break a garage door recently (drove into the door on accident).
