If it's the same, it could just be the state of events we have going on right now.

I'd highly suggest attending as many local real estate networking events as possible in Seattle - find the host, make friends with them, and ask which general contractors they know, or ask who is doing the most deals in the group and ask them.

Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen event, me and my friend are no longer able to attend, but our loss could be your gain!

I've yet to have anyone on BP articulate to me how an LLC in one of these states perceived to have greater privacy protections will prevent a plaintiffs attorney from suing the deed holder in the event  someone is injured on your property amongst the various other common claims a property owner is subject to.

I highly recommend that you go to a weekend event with Scott Meyers and read several books on self storage.

I learned the hard way that I need the capacity to make the first mortgage payments in the event of default. 2009-10 still stings. 

Consistently show up to the same networking meet ups and events.

The other thing...all the loss models are being updated with these events making insurance risk higher which translates into a higher quoted cost...so no surprise to the industry folks. 

@Arya Chen Another suggestion is to look in the Events & Meetups section of the forums and attend some in person networking events even if you don't live in the areas you're considering investing, if you attend regular events and let people know what you're looking for - you'll be surprised at the connections you can make and where they can get you!
