He has to step out prepared knowing he'll be able to cover the expenses before he leaves home and not at the dinner table. 🙂 This saves us embarrassment and time wasted.

They keep the house very clean, do all the yard work, make repairs for free, and even cook dinner for us every other week.

I don't want to be rude only so much as it could hurt me, not so much out of a desire to avoid being rude because again, this isn't about who is going to pick up the tab on a $100 dinner between friends.   

If a landlord lists a house and 400 "investors" show up during dinner asking the tenants all sorts of questions you can bet there is going to be a problem.

Not often mentioned;  when really good teachers have events the room is filled with super smart and accopmlished investors you learn from in the hall way, at dinner in the evening. 

I am taking the family there tonight for dinner.  

When my wife closes on a sale, I like to take her out for a nice dinner.

It pays decently well, although he also has to provide dinner for them. 

Here’s an analogy, if you go to an upscale restaurant that was recommended by a friend because they had wonderful porterhouse steak and say, I’ve got $100 to spend and I want meat for dinner, with a starch and a veggie, and I’m thirsty, so add some fluid, thinking the chef will take care of you.
