Many of our clients in similar positions keep the investment and hire a property manager - that allows them a completely hands off investment, while continuing to build equity.

So the question for her to decide is do I want to continue investing my retirement in wall street or do I want to move some/all the funds into alternative assets like real estate that can far out perform the stock market.   

Unless she hates her job it probably makes sense for her to continue with the high earning (and hopefully saving) so that she can look as bankable as possible as she gets into RE.

I agree with you on the value of the assumable VA loans as interest rates continue to go up.

I did house hacking and still doing it and to start I hired a property manager to both learn from and to allow me to continue working full time until I was able to take over managing the property. 

Many attorneys charge a consultation fee that will be credited to my bill if I continue to work with them but I don’t want to pay for various consultation fees unless I know for sure that I have contacted the correct attorney.

Most properties get continued from sale 4-8 times before a final sale and many get resolved so the list is kind of just a guess at what is coming.They are cash buys, 10 percent down at time of auction and the other 90 percent due in 7 days I believe, or something close to that.

I will pay a fee if I do not continue with their plans(obv not perfect, but you get the idea).
