I’m concerned that $60K ($50K after penalties) won’t get me far in starting a short term rental though… I’m also hesitant to do a cash out refinance on my home loan because we have a great interest rate at 2.625%.

My plan was to be a GP on a syndication and that was also one of my biggest concerns, how was I going to play such a big role on so many units while being a lot younger (less trustworthy in some eyes) and no real estate experience?

But people have said on this forum that his track record isn't good, so I'm trying to find people who have invested in his full lifecycle deals to get more perspective.The deal I mentioned has an assumable fixed interest rate (for 5 years) of 5.3%, so interest rate jolts are less of a concern there. 

(List price is $619K)-- We are concerned about the monthly costs to support a hard money loan AND do a HELOC.-- Our current rental can support a higher mortgage payment (with the HELOC), and still have $200+ positive cash flow after the refi.b.

Hi @Andrew Gheen, I’ve flipped about five homes in Indy and am now lending to beginner and experienced flippers in the area.

No fear here so no need for concern.  

It sounds like the city ignored a lot of complaints about structural concerns from tenants for years, which is concerning.

Are you finding it to be a major concern for buyers, or do they seem willing to overlook it in certain areas?

I am in a syndication that for the first time I am concerned about loosing some of my investment.  

I’m actually more concerned, and my original reference (which I did NOT, unfortunately make clear) was to short to medium term price declines in any market, such as 2008 - 2012, etc.
