Something I have used that turned out great and rediculously cheap is Brushed Aluminum flashing for roofs glued on the wall tacked with roofing nails below countertop and behind the bottom of the top cabinets.  

He found we had some hail damage from a storm back in April and State Farm has agreed to replace two sides of the aluminum siding.

If the pipes are all ripped out, it gets very expensive - Does it have asbestos, aluminum wiring, lead paint, mold, etc?

Laminating new drywall over top of the existing walls or wrapping aluminum around window frames would be examples.

This is consistent with other parts of NC (southeastern and coastal) I've seen based on a few data points in Columbus and Onslow counties.

I suspect these idiots were so dumb they didn't know the lines were aluminum.
