I'm relatively new to the Bigger Pockets community but I've been a Bigger Pockets fan since the time I listened to my first podcast a couple months ago.

@Alan E.I am a fan of retirement accounts, especially the Roth IRA or Roth 401(K). 

I am not a fan of the city but will definitely look in my backyard (NW and W burbs).

I'm not a fan of turn-key properties in general, but in your case, it may be a very good fit.

I would also make sure the fan turns on when ever the light in the room is turned on.

We'll also be moving cross country do to jobs in about a year so we're saving for that and to invest in the new area, not fans of out of state investors for newbie REIs.Some thoughts on what you could do, and what I wish I would have done right away when we go to our current location.1- House hack2 - do a flip3 - optimize your budget and savings, invest in yourself through books and BP.

Especially with a fan.

I'm a huge fan of the Rich Dad principles and I totally agree with the quadrant (I have experience now in all of the quadrants and I find them to be completely accurate).
