In case you want to buy a flip or another rental property, I would recommend to use Ridge Lending new HELOC and apply it directly to your intended purchase.If you plan to consume the funds you pull out, I would recommend to ask yourself why you have the rental property and how consuming equity helps you achieve your goals.

Considering the smokies, PCB, maybe Blue ridge but not comfy with the fact that the STR rules are still developing and changing there. 

I googled the zip as stated you have some very nice areas in that zip and the worst areas of the city. you will notice Hawkins field  ( airport) I had my Plane based there when I lived there for a year. its in the hood... if you get far north of Lake Hico not to bad  I owned one on Glenn ridge but again like so much of these areas its simply block by block

I'm not familiar with Asheville specific builders but Bracken Mountain Builders out of Brevard.

I leave in lake Ridge Va, I have 3 rentals in Woodbridge since 2008 and looking to invest.

My opinion is to focus on specific High School areas including:Argo, Barrington, Buffalo Grove, Carl Sandburg, Deerfield, Dundee-Crown, Evanston Township, Glenbrook South, Grant Community, John Hershey, Lake Forest, Larkin, Lemont, Libertyville, Lisle, Lyons, Naperville North, Lyons Township, New Trier Township; North High School, Oswego, Plainfield, Prairie Ridge, Prospect, Proviso, Richards, South High School.

We just closed on one in the Blue Ridge Mountains of GA.
