The REAL problem is that as the owner of rental property you need to shift your mindset from "this was your home' or tenant has problem A, B, C, D, all the way to Z.  

Yes, I suggest you change that perception or shift your mindset.

Generational shift; younger generation likes to not work for the sake of working and have a different concept of what quality of life means. 

just dont set your sights on $1000 for rent there until some major shifts take place. 

I read one poster on here said that the power shifts from the owner to the tenant when you go to month to month, but I don't really get that. 

I've been thinking long and hard about shifting my effort to selling homes and or managing rentals.

Blomberg units were once in this category (or near it), but have declined since manufacturing shifted from Germany to Turkey.Whirlpool/Electrolux have recently introduced heat pump driven, compact dryers in North America, which is an interesting development ... if only their reliability / repair history were better.Ventless (condensation or heat pump) dryers work well, but differently, than the more traditional in N.A. element driven dryers.
