of course, the tenant is most likely lying. if she moves out early, make every possible effort to rerent and go after tenant for breaking the lease. if she is not lying, her grandmother will show up to small claims court and be her lawyer!

I really want to try to just let that one lie though due to the family thing, it is already ugly enough.At least I feel like we are well known in the community for positive behaviors. lol  We were an EMT and a Dispatcher there.

In dealing with tenants it may make you feel more comfortable being vague unless the tenant asks directly, it doesn't help to tell them lies even if they are white lies it will make you feel uncomfortable.
